First Sort Out Your Internal Issues, MTV Postpones Its Music Awards Ceremony Til Further Notices

It’s now official, MTV Africa Music awards will at least not be hosted in Uganda as it was scheduled to be held on 20, February 2021.

Via their official twitter handle, the TV giants revealed that their 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards shall not be held on 20, February 2021 in Kampala as it was planned before.

MTV Base is postponing the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards.

No reasons have been given for the postponement but the TV giant has been under intense pressure to condemn human rights violations in Uganda.

Ugandans especially those who are saying that they are at oppressed side, via social media platforms have be against the move for MTV to host such a virtual entertainment event in a country where there is internet restrictions, it’s entertainment industry is still under lockdown and it’s artistes are political prisoners, the likes of Dan Magic, Nubian Li.
