Rays of Grace Junior School continued their dominance in Uganda Primary Schools Football after lifting year’s Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Associations qualifiers trophy in the national championship climaxed on Thursday 10th, at Ndeeba Church of Uganda Primary School in Kayunga District.

Hamis Nalapa became the hero of the day when he headed home the lone goal from Denis Jose Nyombi well taken corner kick in the second half to defeat counterparts, Namagabi Umea Primary School.

Excellent track record for Rays of Grace Junior School who only conceded one goal in the entire championship and were unbeaten in the six (6) matches played.

Rays of Grace led group C with seven points, they drew with Kampala Grammer (0-0) before defeating Wagala Scoul Primary School and Bweyogerere Church of Uganda by 4-0 and 5-1 respectively.

In quarter finals, they eliminated St Mary’s Primary School by 5-4 in penalty shoots before defeating God’s Angel Primary School by 2-0 score line in semi finals.

Runners up, Namagabi Umea Primary School defeated Kanjuki Junior School in Kayunga derby by 2-0 score line on quarter finals before shooting out Bubogo Primary School on semi finals by 5-4 in penalty shoots following a barren draw.

**Winsa Primary School, Champions Netball**

Elsewhere, Winsa Primary School were crowned champions of Netball, and they will be joined by Namagabi Umea Primary School, who finished as 1st runners up and UYWEFA Primary School who were 3rd in the ranking to lift Ugandan flag in Kakamega, Kenya.

**Oasis Primary School , champions Girls Football category**

Oasis Primary School from Arua won the Girls Football category, and as champions, they will be joined by runners-up, Bweyogerere Church of Uganda in the category.

St Kizito Primary School from Mbarara, who were champions, and Ndeeba Church of Uganda Primary School will represent Uganda in volleyball boys.

This year’s Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Associations (FEASSA) event will be the 22nd edition and will feature 15 Sports disciplines and Bukhungu Stadium will be the host stadium in Kakamega City, Kenya from August 12th – 23rd.
