Entertainment: UMA Is not a Charity Organization, Cindy Tells Artistes

The ‘King herself’ Cinderella Sanyu, the interim president of Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) point black told musicians that the organization is not a charity organization to feed them with daily bread.

Cindy as commonly known, took over the UMA presidential office after Wycliff Mugume aka YKBenda resigned from it earlier this year.

While hosted on NBS TV daily evening show called AFTA5 uttered no kind words to fellow musicians who think UMA is a charity organization.

Cindy SANYU is known as a straight forward woman who stands by her word and during an interview on NBS TV after 5 show, she gave her views on why she thinks UMA has been lagging behind where she pointed at the issue of Musicians being so hungry and looking at UMA as a charity organization and when leaders do not provide the bread, the members of the association tend to disrespect them.

Cindy went ahead to stress that if she becomes president, she’ll do no such a thing of pleasing people who just want to satisfy their selfish desires.

“Artistes are so hungry that if you don’t bring “bread” they won’t listen to you. Truth is that UMA is not a charity organization, let them not expect me to bring food on their tables. But when am elected, I’ll still work tirelessly to make sure the association benefits all musicians even if there are some Musicians in the association that won’t like me. Of course you can’t Impress everyone” says Cindy.
