Discipline: Never Know, We Might Need You At Cranes When in Dilemma, FUFA Gives Abdallah Mubiru Chance to Appeal

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) through the it’s Ethics and Disciplinary Committee handed Police FC head Coach chance to again launch his difference against the two months suspended ban from football activities and two million shillings fine. 

The disciplinary Committee asserted that Mubiru breached Article 13 of FUFA Disciplinary code and Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions rules during his side’s premier league match against Onduparaka on 20th November 2021 in Arua.

According to statement released by FUFA Communication director, Ahmed Marsha Hussein, the former Uganda Cranes interim Coach, Abdallah was granted chance to submit his fresh defense before 5PM on Tuesday, 21, December 2021.

“POLICE FC HEAD COACH MUBIRU GRANTED FRESH HEARING

The FUFA Appeals Committee has granted Police FC Head coach Abdallah Mubiru to receive fresh summons to be heard by the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee. He is alleged to have breached Article 13 of the FUFA Disciplinary Code and Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions Rules during the Onduparaka FC vs Police FC StarTimes Uganda Premier League match on 20th November 2021 in Arua.

Mubiru had been sanctioned with a fine of UGX 2M and handed a suspended two months ban from all football activities.

Mubiru lodged an appeal on the 6th December 2021 basing on the grounds that he was not given a fair hearing, did not make the abusive statements towards the match officials and the was harsh and unfair.

Mubiru has until Tuesday 21.12.2021 by 5pm to have submitted his fresh response to the FUFA secretariat.” Full FUFA statement.
