The down to earth first female prime minister in Uganda Nabbanja revealed that with her technocolates, she has embarked on process of Covid relief money and soon Ugandans will start receiving that money on their mobile money.
“The fact we don’t want people to disease because of this disease, we are working on the process, and soon people will be receiving money on their phones.”
However, Nabbanja says tht not all Ugandans will receive this money, it’s for vulnerable poor and continued that they are going to use the statistics from National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), Uganda Beureu of Statistics (UBOS) information to identify people to receive this money.

“We are going to identify of those people who are vulnerable, these categories are known, and this time round we agreed as Committee, we are not going to use posho, we are going to use a simple mean of delivering support to people.
You cannot say that you a vulnerable when you have been receiving millions of money on your phone, we have a mechanism we are going to use even if your name has applied on the list but when you have been receiving 300000, 500000, and above we are going to scrap you off.”
We have records from NIRA, UBOS and we are going to use those while giving money. Not everybody should expect this money because some are not vulnerable, some you have and I ask those who have to help their fellows.” Said Rt. Hon. Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
However, the minister did not mention how many people they are targeting and they are to give how much to each Ugandan.
