Capacity Building: Now You Understand the Game, Over 40 Graduate With FAMACO I Certificate

42 Football Administrators and Managers successfully graduated with Football Administration and Management Course (FAMACO I) on Saturday 11th, December 2021 at Special Interests Group House in Mengo, Kampala.

The Three day course was organized by the 2021 FUFA best Member Association`s Award winner, Uganda Youth Football Association under the supervision and guidance of the Parent body, FUFA.

The closing ceremony was attended by FUFA Youth delegate, Kabugo Mansour and Vice Chairman Technical, Farouk Kigongo.

“Everyone understand Football in his or her own way, but when you come and attend to a Football class you see new things in the game, so our humble call to you is, please take all what you have been taught in action such that UYFA and FUFA achieve their dreams”. Said Farouk Kigongo, UYFA Vice Chairman Technical

“I thank all People who stood with Uganda Youth Football Association when we crowned the 2021FUFA best Member Associations Award because it was so competitive”. Added Kigongo

The course was guided by Mr. Bernard Bainamani Bampire, Samuel Mpiima and Vincent Sajjabi who took participants through FUFA and Its roles, Human Resource, Communication, Finance, Governance, Marketing, Club staff and Tools.

During the opening ceremony, facilitator, Vincent Sajjabi extended his sincere thanks to the Association, UYFA for staging the event and training and called on participants to always work hard to develop Youth football because it is the engine of the game.

“Normally with these trainings and capacity building courses, we expect to share knowledge on what can help us develop the game, World over today when you look at those Countries that are a head of us in what they doing, they have used Youth Football as a tool to achieve success and you realize that even the nature of how they do things, dictate and manage things starts with Youths development”

“These trainings are aiding us and participants with more knowledge on how best they can manage their Academies. We feel this is a new start of our new development to the game”

“We thank Uganda Youth Football Association for organizing such an event and training I have realized that most of the People now have acquired something new which I feel will help in development the game in the Country”

Uganda Youth football Association General Secretary highlighted the reasons as to why there was a need to have this capacity building course held.

“We have come up with the FAMACO I course and basically we have come to engage Football Administrators and Managers basically in Academy football. Our concern was carried on as we looked at People needed Governance courses and we resolved to have this course organized”. Said Shafic Kigongo, the General Secretary UYFA.

“As the Association we are optimistic that the members and managers trained will go back and implement what they have been taught because as UYFA we are implementing FUFA`s Vision of being the number one footballing Nation on and off the pitch that is why we organized this course to train them”.
