BRL: Rays of Grace Pitted against Five Stars In Stanbic Uganda Cup Preliminary Round Draws

As the nation getting back to normal from two years’ Covid era, the football activities keep on taking a normal shape.

Different regions of football started organizing the 48th edition of Stanbic Uganda Cup Preliminary games despite the fact that their leagues are yet to bounce back. The latest region to release the fixture for the tournament is Buganda Region that has 32 teams registered to take part in the 2021/22 edition.

Yesterday, Buganda held the draws of 32 teams, and Rays of Grace Pitted against Five Stars FC as Naguru Police Kids Soccer Academy meet Nakifuma Untide FC. 

This is the maiden time for a school based team, Rays of Grace taking part in the oldest competition.

Out of 32 teams drawn in first round, only five slots are available for the region on round of 64.

The dates for the first preliminary round are yet to be revealed by the organisers.

Vipers Sports Club are the reigning winners, beat BUL FC on final held at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.
