The National Unity Platform principal, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine urged University students and their leaders not to be tempted with NRM goodies especially when they are amidst the struggle of reclaiming what they call their stolen victory, taken by Museveni and his NRM after the 2021 general elections.

“A dictator can use either one’s fear or one’s greed to manipulate them, therefore there’s need to be careful” Bobi Wine told the students’ leaders from two public Universities that is Kyambogo and Mbarara University of Science and Technology when he met them at his home in Magere-Wakiso on Saturday.

In his speech, he told the leaders in the two universities to not only persevere but also stay strong not to be shaken by the intimidation and not to fall preys for the tokens given by National Resistance Movement  for they may make them lose focus.

It should be remembered that NUP candidate John Mbaziira who declared winner of Kyambogo University Guild presidential seat last week and was arrested during the time of voting but he emerged to be the winner something that excited Bobi wine and he condemned the manner in which their candidate was arrested ,so Kyagulanyi used this opportunity to congratulate him upon that win.

“I have had a fruitful engagement with student leaders from Kyambogo University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology who called on me today afternoon. I have used the occasion to congratulate the NUP Kyambogo University chapter in general and comrade Mbaziira John Jnr in particular upon clinching the Guild Presidential seat.” Kyagulanyi posted on his facebook page yesterday before adding.

Like it has been evident on several occasions, the dictator uses either one’s fear or one’s greed to manipulate them. As such, I have implored the student leadership from the two Universities to persevere through intimidation and not fall for the tokens that the dictator’s machinery may dangle their way during this period as we push to recover our stolen victory. There is so much for every citizen to achieve in the New Uganda than what a few greedy individuals may settle for now.”

Now it has become a norm for Kyagulanyi to meeting Ugandans especially leaders on different levels.
