Bika Netball: Mmamba Namakaka Easily Wrestles Mbogo Out as Nyonyi Nyange Storm Semis
The Bika bya Baganda netball giants Mmamba Namakaka easily humbled Mbogo in the quarterfinal four of the 2022 edition honored at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Monday afternoon.
With experienced players, many feature in Uganda Netball Super league, Mmamba Namakaka found limited challenge to beat Mbogo 47-22 to propel to the semifinals set to be played on Thursday, 11th, August, 2022 at a venue yet to be communicated.
Mbogo with it’s younger kids first put up a strong challenge in the first quarter but later they gave up and accepted the challenge.
In other quarter finals, Nyeye walked over to semis following the failure of Nte clan to show up at the venue. While Lugave eliminated Mutima Musaji after a 36-30 fulltime score.
The defending champions, Nyonyi Nyange beat Ngabi Nsamba 43-34 to book a meeting with defending champions Ngeye.
According to semifinal draws, Mmamba Namakaka set to play host, Lugave while Ngeye and Nyonyi Nyange to fight for the final berth.
The Bika Bya Baganda assistant chairperson and the in charge of Netball at the committee, Owek. Sarah Nkonge Muwonge, thanked all the Bika that took part in the 2022 edition.
