betPawa Futsal Super League: KJT Receives inedible Xmas Package, Kisenyi still on Perfect Run as Lubaga Returns to Winning Ways
The match week five of the betPawa Futsal Super League, 2023/24 season climaxed on Friday night at Old Kampala Sports Arena with Kampala Junior Team swallowing more ten on the day.
Kisenyi FC continued to showcase their formidable performance this season, they are five games straight and yesterday they gave Kampala Junior Team a sour Christmas package of 10-1.
Right from the onset, Kisenyi dominated the game, securing a five-goal advantage by halftime. Abdulkarim Abdullahi’s brace, alongside goals from Hussein Dahir and Julius Kasanga, ensured an impressive lead going into the break.
Their momentum never wavered as they added five more goals in the second half. Shafici Darir, Marvin Ategeka, AbdulQadir, Abdullahi Omar, and Yusuf Bakar all contributed to their emphatic win, while Reagan Kimbugwe salvaged a consolation goal for KJT.
This victory propelled Kisenyi FC to join FC Luzira and Park FC at the league’s summit, all boasting flawless records of 15 points from their initial five games.
This has been the second loss for Kampala Junior Team and now sits sixth on the log with nine points.
In the other enthralling match, Lubaga Grameen staged a comeback, rallying from behind to secure a 6-4 victory against Nansana ASKA. Captain Bruno Ssegirinya and Abdinasir Ali Ahmed each scored a brace, steering Lubaga to their first win in three games and elevating them to nine points in five matches.
Meanwhile, Kabowa Dream Team clinched their second victory of the season, triumphing over Edgars Youth Programme with a commanding 5-2 scoreline. Hamud Ali netted twice, supported by goals from Billy Nkata and Elijah Kasozi in a resounding win.
As matchday five concludes, Park FC, FC Luzira, and Kisenyi FC maintain perfect records, while Kawempe FC have yet to secure a win in their five games.
Looking ahead, matchday six is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 28th December, concluding on Friday, 29th December 2023, with all matches set to take place at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
