Rays of Grace Partner, St Julian High School Seeta Pitted in the same group (A) with the Hosts St Mary’s College Rushorooza.
The 2023 USSSA Ball Games II Football Boys U16, saw St Julian in the group with, St Mary’s College Rushoroza, Kakungulu Memorial, Kyamate SS and Teso College Aloet.
This comes courtesy of the draws held on Thursday, 6th July 2023, at USSSA head office at GNS Plaza, Old Kampala.
The “Yes We Can” enjoyed some good fortune as they crowned champions of the Greater Mukono Region to Quality.
How did St Julian High School Qualify.
The Seeta based side defeated Mukono Kings High School and Mpoma Royal College by 5-0 and 2-0, respectively, in the group stages of Mukono District.
In the semi-finals, St Julian was shocked when they were eliminated by Mt. St. Henry’s Secondary School in penalty shoots by 3-0 after normal time had ended in a one all draw at Seeta High School Mbalala campus.
At the regional level hosted by St Mathias Kalemba SS Nazigo, St Julian defeated Namagabi SS and St Mary’s College Lugazi 1-0 and 4-0 respectively.
St Julian defeated Quality High School from Buikwe in finals by 1-0 to Crown Champions of the region. The lone goal was scored by Disan Mwebe.
In the semi-final, they had defeated Mt St Henry’s Secondary School by 2-0 score line in a repeat of Mukono District Semi finals.
Ball Games II kicks of this Sunday, the 9th July, and will Climax nine days after (18th July) at St Mary’s College Rushoroza in Kabale.
