COVID-19: No Festive Season Lockdown, But Follow SOPs- ICT Minister
Since the eve of last week, reports have been circulating on different media platforms indicating that the government is planning a lockdown during this festive season to control rapid spread of COVID-19.
However, the Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Judith Nabakooba washed away the rumors and said no Lockdown will be enforced during the festive season but asked the population to be extra careful about their lives while traveling to different locations.

“There will not be any lockdown during the festive season apart from the existing curfew and other SOPS. However I call upon everyone to be extra careful,” Nabakooba said.
Nabakooba insisted that no Music Concerts, discotheques will operate during this festive season because they are still under lockdown.
