Action to Remember: Uganda, Kenya Football Legends set for A Series of Friendly Matches

In their pursuit to bring back the lost value of the former Football players that brought glory to the nation during their active time in the game, The Fraternity of Legendary Football Players and Fans Uganda Limited organized a series of friendly matches against Kenyan legends.

In their previous meeting at the end of the year, 2021, the Uganda Legends Fraternity revealed that this year 2022 are to have a number of activities that will instill value in former football players who are currently taken for granted and of no value to the nation.

We are going to have a number of activities in 2022 and our first engagement, we are going to have a friendly match against Kenyan legends, we want to be a value to the game of football even in our retirement.” Jackson Mayanja ‘Mia Mia’, the Uganda Legends President told this website at the end of last year 

It wasn’t just to make the public happy but the preparations for the promised game but the bliss point and according to arrangement, the two legendary teams going to have two friendly games that is on 26th and 28th January 2022 at Maya Forest Resort and Barifa Stadium-Arua respectively.

According to the program, the Kenyan legends will be arriving in the country on Monday 24th January, they will have a soccer clinic on Wednesday before the first friendly match at Maya.

Uganda Legends held training at Wankulukuku every Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Among the Kenyan legends that are expected to arrive in Uganda include; Former Harambee Stars skipper and a prolific striker, Dennis Oliech, Tusker FC head coach, Robert Matano, Maurice Sunguti, Musa Otieno, George Sunguti…

In their preparations for the Uganda trip, the Kenyan Football Legends received a financial boost of 200,000 Kenya shillings from Twaha Mbarak, a Kenya Football Federation hopeful.
