KCCA: Sports Is Very Key to City Development- Dorothy Kisaka

Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka has appreciated the sports industry’s efforts towards the development of Kampala.

This happened on Tuesday 8th May 2021 at the event arranged by KCCA to see off two boxers from KCCA Boxing Club who qualified to represent Uganda at 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games set for July this year.

“It is a special day for KCCA and Uganda at large, we are here to congratulate our boxers, Shadir Musa and David Ssemujju for qualifying to represent our Nation at Tokyo Olympics games. we are really proud of you.” Dorothy Kisaka, the City’s Executive director said.

The event held at the Executive Boardroom at City Hall in Kampala.

Kisaka asked the boxers to excellently represent the City as well as the Nation.

“This is a reward of your efforts, you have pushed yourself and We are expecting you to come back with medals. As KCCA, it’s our desire to ensure that people get to higher level in Sports.

Sports is very key in City development, it improves the daily life and healthy wise that is why we are funding six sports teams and over 200 athletes are in those teams.” Kisaka.

Shadir Musa Bwogi and David Ssemujju are the Athletes along with their coach at the club, Hussein Ali, they all received packages from the Executive director.

“The two are are among the 25 athletes that have secured their tickets for the games which will be held starting on 23rd July 2021 in Japan.” Uganda Olympic Committee president Donald Rukare told the executive director at the event held at Kampala City Hall.
