Kayunga: Bbaale Constituency MP, Tebandeke Calls for Collective Effort
The newly elected and sworn in, Bbaale Constituency legislator, Hon. Charles Tebandeke asked for Collective effort from both leaders and sarbodinates if their area is to grow.
Tebandeke says that locals should not blame the top leaders of the Constituency for not delivering and yet they (locals) don’t inspect the works of the lower level leaders.
“The people of Bbaale have much expectations in me, but I am not going to serve the entire Bbaale alone. Leadership works collectively as you see a football team, as an MP, in this aspect am going to be a striker, so if the defense and midfield can’t feed me with balls, then I can’t score, therefore I call upon all people of Bbaale and leaders, we should unite and work together as a whole.” The outspoken legislator spoke to this website after a thanksgiving ceremony held at Kitwe Kayonza in Bbaale Constituency, Kayunga district on Sunday.
Tebandeke says that he is not a holy ghost to know whatever is happening in the Constituency and the district as a whole, but he can only represent what he can receive from the electorates.
“As you put pressure on your MP, first put pressure on your LC one chairperson, put pressure on your Councilors, when am in Parliament, I can hardly depict what’s on ground but it’s your Councilors and following leaders to present those issues on my table then I can be able to present them on floor of Parliament.
I have opened up offices at every sub county, it should not e miss used, it’s not for people Power but it’s fo Bbaale Constituency.” He explained.
The legislator also commented on the grievances and disunity among top leaders in Kayunga District and what should be done to solve them in favor of the district development.
“We have very many grievances, some are personal and political, therefore am to use my office to try to settle such issues especially the one between Hon. Nantaba and Kalangwa, such conflicts affects the development of our area, we can’t demand people to unite when we the leaders are fighting.“
He also talked about the Bbaale-Kayunga main road that needs tarmac and to link Kayunga to other regions.
Kayunga district has three constituencies, that is Bbaale for Hon. Charles Tebandeke, Ntenjeru North for Hon. Amos Lugoloobi, Ntenjeru South for Hon. Nsanja Patrick. While the Women representative is Hon. Aidah Nantaba.
