National Unity Platform Principal and Former Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and NUP elected Members of Parliament has on Monday morning staged a peaceful protest in Kampala demanding for the immediate release of abducted Party supporters and Members but Police did not allow them to fullfil their plans.
Kyagulanyi at Kampala Road was arrested and taken to Central Police Station Kampala but later driven back to his home and the and according to his official twitter handle, his home is now surrounded with Military men.
The right to protest peacefully is a fundamental human right. We are protesting for hundreds of missing Ugandans whose families have not heard from them for months! Those who have showed up have been grossly tortured- castrated, fingernails plucked out, eyes smashed, etc.

Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed that Kyagulanyi has been arrested together with 8 others on charges of holding an unlawful procession in the CBD.
