The Stanbic Uganda Cup second semifinal between 2022 winners, BUL FC and NEC FC ended in a stalemate at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru in Buikwe.
Both sides equalled the weight with Jeremy Kirya scoring for the hosts while Joseph Dhata came on for NEC FC.
Kirya with a wonderful strike outside the box handed BUL the lead in the 17th minute of the game.

But before scoring, Alex Kitata had an open chance in the 9th minute, however, Benjamin Ochan was equal to the challenge to denied the former to appear on the score sheet.
The Abel Kikomeko boys won the first stanza though, NEC enjoyed the ball possession in the last ten minutes of the first 45 minutes.
In the second stanza, the visitors continued pilling pressure unto the hosts and nine minutes into the second half, Joseph Dhata won a golden opportunity and perfectly utilized it with a wonderful strike.

Joseph Dhata had another opponent to extend the lead for Hussein Mbalangu charges but his free kick from the left flank was saved by Tom Ikara.
The two shall meet next weekend at Phillip Omondi Stadium Lugogo to determine who will feature in the 50th Edition final slated to be held in Buganda region.
The first semifinal was held on Saturday and Kitara FC took the first leg advantage with a 3-1 win against Pajule Lions. The game was at Masindi Stadium.
