Pepsi UFL: Four Magical Minutes Earn MUBS Surprise Victory over Victoria University

Out of the ninety minutes of normal play, Makerere University Business School only needed four magical minutes that earned them 3-1 victory in the Friday Pepsi University Football League encounter honored at IUIU Kabojja Female Campus playground.
Nazar Benjamin brace that came in space of two minutes and super substitute, Joseph Otema strike cancelled Kajjabwangu Abu early second half strike.
In first half both sides fired blanks despite the fact that they had some goal scoring opportunities.
Through a corner kick from the left flank, Kajjabwangu Abu swung in the ball and Otyengi Andrew punched it into his own net to hands Victoria University a lead at home in the 55th minute.
In the following minutes, Victoria University kept on pressing for a double but the strategy didn’t work out and resorted to defending the one they had in the basket.
However, the result changed in only four minutes between 76 and 80th minute.
With a powerful shot inside the box, Nazar Benjamin put the ball at the far post to equalizer the game in the 76th minute before he slotted in the second in the 78th minute, the strike that turned MUBS fans crazy.
Super substitute, Joseph Otema headed in the third in the 80th minute to seal a surprise victory for MUBS.
The victory moved the two time champions to nine points in three games and still maintain the top spot in Group B.

“As an experienced team, MUBS is an experienced team, we came from a goal down, the pressure was too high but we changed few things tactically and managed to score the first, second and the third goal.
Yes, first half was not that good because we had two players who had two yellow cards, we didn’t know that the law exhibits them from participating in the game, so we had to make a quick change which affected us
” Said Zzinda Ali, MUBS assistant coach.
“We were a goal down but you know a game is played for 90 minutes, so you never give up until the end, so that’s what we kept on doing, we kept on pushing, pushing and that’s what our coaches have been telling us, that even if we are two goals down and it’s 80 minutes, we have to keep pushing until the end so we continued pressing them, luckily enough I managed to score two goals and my teammate came in and added another one, so it was a beautiful game for us.” Nazar Benjamin who scored a brace for MUBS.
