UPL: UPDF FC, Wakiso Giants On Search for Sweetness of New Season’s Win

Wakiso Giants visits UPDF FC at 4pm at Bombo Barracks Stadium as two teams hunt for the first win the season.

Both teams have only one point out of the possible six.

 In the opening game, UPDF FC shared spoils with URA FC in a barren draw before they lost 1-0 to Kitara FC in the second fixture.

Wakiso Giants were heavily defeated 3-0 by Maroons FC at their home in Wakiso before they fought back to share points with Soltilo Bright Stars in a 1-1 draw in the second game.

The two winless teams will be meeting for the 7th time, Wakiso Giants have defeated UPDF FC on four occasions, drawn once and UPDF FC have only won one game in the 6th meetings.

However, the last time the two teams met, UPDF FC beat Wakiso Giants 0-1 in Wakiso and their only win against the Purple Sharks in topflight football.

The hosts, have struggled to score against Wakiso Giants. In the six meetings, UPDF FC have only scored two goals and have conceded eight.

A win for any of two, will take them on level points (4) with 6th and 7th position teams respectively.

UPDF FC: Tebandeke Christopher is set for debut Ezekiel Katende and Eseru Robert are back from injuries while defender Reagan Kasumba and attacking midfielder Arafat Kakonge are out due to injuries.
Oyirwoth Daglas started training but this match comes to quick for him.

Wakiso Giants: Tom Masiko, Marvin Nyanzi are back. Alex Komakech, Mikidadi Ssenyoga , Titus Ssematimba are out due to injuries and trials respectively,
