Masaza Cup 2023: Bugerere Announces Head Coach
Ahead of the 2023 Masaza Cup edition, Bugerere Ssaza announced new head coach in Mugerwa Noah aka Jajja Noah.
The former Buluuli Ssaza head coach was announced on Sunday afternoon at Katikoomu Hotel in Kayunga district.
The Mugerere, the chief of Bugerere Ssaza, Owek. Ssempiga James revealed that after announcing Mugerwa as head coach and the appointed working committee, Bugerere will be strong again.
“It’s we who supply food to people in South Sudan, Kenya, and neighboring countries, the energy and zeal we use to plant food to feed all those masses, it’s the same zeal we are going to use in this tournament, so I ask the subjects to come and stand with the team.” Says Mugerere, Owek. Ssempiga James.
The appointed Coach, Mugerwa Noah asserted that he is to use his experience to see that Bugerere get the trophy.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Mugerere to entrust me with his team to be the coach of this County, we are going to work as a team to see that we get the trophy this season. I have been on a number of Masaza and we I won with them, I am going to use the same experience I have to see that Bugerere Ssaza get the trophy.” Says Mugerwa Noah, they newly appointed Coach.
Mugerwa is coming with vast experience in this tournament, he as been head and assistant coach since 2009, he was assistant coach for …. when Ssingo was lifting the 2015 title, he has been head coach at Butambala Ssaza (2011 and 2012), he was head coach at Buddu 2016, headed the technical bench of Kabula in 2014 and 2017, for the past two seasons, he has been at Buluuli.
Bugerere Ssaza was pitted in Bulange Group with two time champions, Bulemeezi, 2015 and 2018 champions, Ssingo, Busujju, Butambala and Buvuma, however, the team manager, Bwogi Joseph is optimistic that the talent they have recruited will help them go through the group.
“The teams in the group are not that all good that we can’t go through it, we have got a good coach, and we’re not going to go in the market for big names, we’re going to use our local talent and we believe in them.” Says Bwogi Joseph Mpagi, team manager.
