Netball Super League: KCCA Topped the Table for the Whole Season but Prisons are the Champions

Only tears of happiness and sadness witnessed at on the ‘judgement day’ at Kamwokya Community Sports Center.
Kampala Capital City Authority Netball Club from the opening five Fixtures, all odds agreed that KCCA Netball Club will be the Champions of Uganda Netball Super League according to the performance displayed by the Kasasiro girls and indeed they maintained that lead until the judgement day when Prisons Netball Club grabbed the title at the end of the season.

KCCA topped the table till the last day on Saturday when Imelda Nyongesa charges beat them in an epic encounter enjoyed by many at Kamwokya.
Prisons beat KCCA 46-41 to be crowned Champions of the Uganda Netball Super League season 2022/23. They finished with 38 points, one above KCCA that became second and NIC finished third.

KCCA first took the lead in the last game of the day, and the first quarter ended 11-10 in favor of KCCA but Prisons engaged in a strong gear and the last three quarters were on top of the game, 20-21, 32-34 and finally 41-46.
In this game also, Christine Namulumba Kango scored 29 goals out of the 46 converted by Prisons and she finished as the league top scorer with 791 goals.
This is the fourth time Prisons Netball Club is winning this title and the last time came in 2018.

The judgement day as it was baptized by the Netball Community, has attracted a big crowd and looked bigger and better than that we saw last year in East Africa Club Championship.
