Bika Tournament Finals: Minister Challenges Buganda Clan Heads, Each to Mobilize At least 500 Grandchildren to Wankulukuku

The finals for the Bika Football and Netball are less than three days to be held at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
The Minister for Sports Leisure and Recreation Owek Henry Ssekabembe challenged all the clan heads to mobilize their Bazzukulu to fill Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku on Saturday 11th March, 2023 like they did the previous weekend on Masaza Cup Final at the same venue.
Minister said while addressing media on Tuesday at Bulange Mengo, Minister revealed that in the meeting they had with the organizers, they wanted each clan at least to mobilize 1000 fans to come to Wankulukuku and he asserted that in the arrangements they did, each clan will have a section at Wankulukuku.

“We encourage grandchildren to come back to stadia specifically for Bika, you need to erase that thinking that Bika tournament no longer have vibe, this is ours as Buganda, it’s us to bring vibe in our things.” Said Minister.

“The arrangement of the new preparation is like this, we have staged places for every clan we have in Buganda, so we challenge the Katikkiros and Clan Heads to mobilize their Bazzukulu to come to Wankulukuku at least each to bring 500 but our target was 1000.” He added.

Minister Owek Henry Ssekabembe continued to confirm that students will pay 50% of the entrance fee, that is 5000/- per student and the tickets will be taken to schools.
According to Minister, the gates will be open at 9am, games will be played starting 11am and the final of Football will be played at 3pm.
