Waterfall Elite League T20: Teamwork Won it for Us – Lutaaya of Itanga Kayakers

The player of match Ronald Lutaaya says teamwork made it possible for them to lift the trophy of the men’s water Fall elite league T20 that climaxed on Sunday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Ronald’s team Itanda kayakers emerged the winners after beating the Bujjagali Rafters by 29 runs in a four day tournament which was held at Lugogo cricket oval
Lutaaya contributed 116 runs out of 189 runs that were registered by Itanda Kayakers .
“Working so hard for my team has been the most important thing,it wasn’t working for my self but I had to go with the team work and team Plan to make sure that all this happens.” Said century master Lutaaya while speaking to this website.
As any other good kid from home, Ronald was escorted by her Mother Namigadde Deziranta who watched her son display beautiful runs till the end of game and indeed she was not disappointed by her son.
“It was special ,I feel great. She doesn’t stop from home ,she is always supportive whenever am outside the country ,she watches me from the television” .when asked about the Support from the mother .
Lutaaya,who plays from Azizi Demani couldn’t hide his excitement for hi s team after winning the game .
“Am very excited for this win,it has not been easy .It has been hard work and spending more time on the cricket ground to have this journey successful “.
Lutaaya was bound to dominate proceedings on Sunday as he hit the half century mark (50 runs) with 10 overs down the road. His batting partner then Anas Baig was on 22 runs off 24 balls as Itanda Kayakers were on 87/1.
Lutaaya hit the 100 runs mark off 58 balls and after making two quick runs with his batting partner Riazat Ali Shah who was also captain for the franchise side, he received a standing ovation from the crowd and the players.
The tournament had three clubs namely Sippi Trekkers ,Bujjagali rafters and Itanda kayakers and was sponsored by Batball Uganda,Plascon paints and Reko telecon.
