USSSA NPP Day One: Fairly Good Start for Greater Mukono Representatives, No Loss So Far
Not a poor start for the Greater Mukono representatives in the ongoing USSSA National Post Primary games kicked off yesterday at Mvara SS in Arua City.
The Greater Mukono region was represented by Mukono Kings, Kayunga Light College, St Ponsiano Ngondwe, and late comer, Dynamic SS Sonde and Latifa Islamic.
In their respective groups, Mukono Kings, the Champions of Greater Mukono started well with a 3-2 victory Bubangizi SS in group D Edward Ajuna and Chris Nasasira scored for Bubangizi SS while those of Kings came from Ismael Ndifuna who had a brace and John Kisseka.
The newbies, Kayunga Light College and St Ponsiano Ngondwe each secured a point against their respective opponents on day one. Ngondwe came from a goal down to level against Mbale Progressive, thanks to Nkoola Arafat header, he converted from a corner kick released by Vicent Mulema.
Light College played to a barren draw in group B opening fixture against London College Nansana, Dynamic SS who joined the race as late comers, in they managed to comfortably beat Lake Side Masese by 3-0 score line.
The games resume today at different grounds, Dynamic SS Sonde will be taking on St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende at 11am while Kayunga Light College will be searching for their first win against St James SS
