FWEL: Nantege Irene Secures Isra Victory Against Luweero With a Brace

A GREAT WAKE UP BY ISRA SOCCER ACADEMY THROUGH NANTEGE IRENE AGAINST LUWEERO GIANT QUEENS

Isra Soccer Academy Women Football Club from a goal down, they managed to secure important win at home against visitors, Luweero Giant Queens following a 3-2 final score yesterday at Highland Secondary School playground in Kisaasi.

After a 5-1 embarrassing loss at home against Bunyaruguru Girls FC,  Isra lost no hope but was a chance for them to re-organise before facing Luweero Giant Queens the side they beat 3-2.

Irene Nantege brace and Kwaka Bread strike were enough for Isra to register their second win of the season in three played matches.

The first half ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors who had their goals through Namanda Jesca and Babirye Hadija and that of Hadija came two minutes to halftime break.

The hosts came back for second half with much force, from the first whistle, Isra launched timely attacks which made Luweero to surrender another goal to Irene Nantege to complete her brace before Kwaka Brenda separated the tie in the 75th minute.

“The game wasn’t that easy but we were able to use the instructions from the coach and we tried our level best to improve on the mistakes we made in the last game but all in all it was Allah’s wish and thanks to him that we are also ready for our next fixture that is Asubo-Gafford.” captain Nalubwama Shanitah told this website after the encounter.

“The game was fair but we need to make corrections in some sectors as we prepare for our next game of Asubo-Gafford but the girls improved so far compared to previous game we lost against Bunyaruguru.” Coach Isaac.

Isra now sit on top the Victoria group table with six points in three games while Luweero Giant Queens lost their first game of the season but have only one point in two games. 

In their next fixture, Isra Soccer Academy will be visiting Asubo-Gafford Ladies FC on 3th April at Kiteezi C/U Playground.
