Kayunga District Secondary Schools netball championship qualifiers were on Saturday 25th, March 2023 at St Pontiano Ngondwe Secondary School Kangulumira.

Four Schools in Namagabi Secondary School, St Mathias Kalemba Secondary School Nazigo, Suuka Islamic Secondary School and Kanjuki Secondary School confirmed the power house of the high developing sports discipline, Netball.

To make the final four, Namagabi Secondary School slashed Fountain of Hope Schools from Bukeeka by 19-04 by the end of the Two (2) quarters. First quarter ended when Namagabi SS was leading 11-00 while in the second quarter, Namagabi SS also won it by 08-02.

The tight contest was between Kayunga Light College and St Mathias Kalemba Secondary School Nazigo but the later managed to overcome their opponents by 07-04. By close of 1st quarter, Kalemba was leading by 3-1 and sealed it in the final quarter to advance to region.

Suuka Islamic Secondary School eliminated Hopeful Future Secondary School from Ntooke by 16-04 while Busaana Secondary School was stopped by underrated Kanjuki Secondary School by 09-03.

In the semi finals Suuka Islamic will face off with St Mathias Kalemba while Namagabi SS will be up against Kanjuki Secondary School on Wednesday 6th, April and the best two will face off in the district finals on the same day at Ntenjeru Ssaza Ground.
