Women Football: FWSL Draft Fixtures Released, Makerere,Uganda Martyrs are Pioneers of the New Format

Kampala: The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) competitions department released the draft fixtures of FUFA Women Super League 2020/21 season.
It should be noted that the league format changed from the previous one and FUFA opted to go with tournament format for this season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the draft fixtures released on 22nd March, 2021, the League commences on 19th April 2021 contrary to the earlier communicated date of 11th April.
The fixture, this website reached a copy signed by Head of Competitions department, Hajjat Aisha Nalule, the five clubs in Group one, that is Kampala Queens, Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, Makerere University and Tooro Queens report on 18th April 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru, the tournament host ground.
According to draft fixtures, the opening game of the new format will between the giant education institutions, that is Makerere University the league debutants and Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga at 2PM on Monday, 19, 2021 before Kawempe Muslim Ladies and Kampala Queens come in to close the match day one.
The clubs shall at least have a game everyday for the first three days in camp before the resting day comes in.
The first group will pave way for the second group, after their final fixture games on 24th April 2021.
Group Two will report on Sunday, 25,2021 and the first fixture will be honored on Monday 26, and the opening fixture for this group shall be between Lady Doves and Isra Soccer Academy Women Football Club at 2PM and the day will be closed with a fixture between She Corporates and Olila High School WFC at 4PM.
The playoffs of this League scheduled between 1 May and 5th May 2021.
The clubs are already in intensive preparations because the champion of this year’s championship will represent Uganda in the Inaugural CAF Women Champions League Zonal Qualifiers.
