Foolish charges Pressed Against Ugandans, Says Bobi Wine

The National Unity Platform Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has termed the charges pressed against the party members and leaders  as foolish in this 21st Century.

According to Kyagulanyi, his supporters are often randomly picked by security organs and then charged falsely for wearing military attire.

After the General Court Martial in Makindye remanded Rubaga North LV elected Councilor Apollo James Mubiru accusing him of being in possession of military attire, Bobi wine made these remarks to clear the air and to strengthen his supporters.

It should be remembered that Mubiru never accepted the charges but according to the army prosecutors, they asked more time as they told court that investigations into the office are going on.

Kyagulanyi on special occasions paid a visit to most of his supporters that are remanded at Kitalya prison and according to him, his people are detained for no reason because they did nothing to keep them in prison.

“You can’t believe what our comrades that are remanded at kitalya told me. That every day they impose on them charged they’ve no idea about” said Bobi wine.

“They’re being subjected to torture and remember most of them are randomly picked and charged with wearing military attire. Let’s play our part, these criminal attires will be accounted for.” He added.

On talking about his brother Nyanzi’s incident, Kyagulanyi said that the 15 year old juvenile was abducted for no reason by the security personals.

“Nyanzi’s wife went to Kira road police station to report the incident but police officers chased her away and didn’t record her case yet the people that abducted the boy were armed men but not in uniform” said Kyagulanyi.
