What Does New UNF VP Technical Have on Table For Netball
The Election process for Uganda Netball Federation climaxed on Saturday last week and the world knows the executive that is to lead the game of Netball for the next four years.
For starters, Hon. Breeze Sarah Babirye Kityo is the newly elected President of UNF, will be deputized by Brig. Gen Flavia Byekwaso as the VP Administration, Richard Muhumuza, Vice President Technical, the treasury office was taken by Hajjat Aidah Nambuusi Kibedi, General Secretary is Aminah Mande.
The current Uganda Boxing Federation treasurer and the owner of Dynamic Schools, Richard Muhumuza elected as the Vice President Technical on the new Executive of Uganda Netball Federation.
After being elected on that post, Richard Muhumuza revealed what he has on table for the game of Netball at the technical wing.
He is saying that they found the game at better ranking both on continent and world at large but as a new Executive, they are aiming at making Uganda the best.
“I am an all rounder Sports lover and administrator, I am in boxing as a treasurer, I am in football, both men and women, I am also in Netball and I love this sport the most.” Richard Muhumuza said before adding. “Since I have been given the mandate to control the technical side of the game, expect something different please.”
As a Vice President Technical, Muhumuza with the team he will be working with want to expand the game beyond Kampala Metropolitan.
“Well, we are third on continent and seventh in the world, I believe we can still be number one.
The technical matters have been not well worked on but since I have come in, I will try to see that the game cross Kamapala metropolitan borders, to different districts.
Then we shall get the best of the best on the national team but from different regions.” Muhumuza explained.
Muhumuza also hint on the training of the Coaches and Umpires.
“It has been a while with no refresher courses for coaches and Umpires, we are going to have them more and the coaches ro further their studies.”
