USSSA Qualifiers Girls Football: Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs headline battle for Kampala regional slots

The race for qualification to the national stage intensifies as eight schools gear up for the USSSA Kampala Region girls’ football qualifiers, with five coveted slots up for grabs ahead of the national championships set for late April at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono.

The competition has been structured into two groups of four teams each, setting the stage for battle on Monday across two venues in Kampala.

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School headline Group A, where they will face off against Highland Secondary School Kisaasi, Rubaga Girls School and Kololo Secondary School at Ham Stadium Nakivubo.

Meanwhile, last year’s losing finalists Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga lead Group B, alongside Kakungulu Memorial School, Bishop Cyprian Kihangire Secondary School and Gadhafi Integrated Academy, with matches hosted at Kibuli Secondary School.

The top two teams per group will progress to the knockout stage, with the semifinals and final slated for Tuesday, April 14 at Ham Stadium Nakivubo, as schools battle for regional honors and qualification to the nationals.
