USSSA Games: Fresh Diary now Speaks with Money not Words, Injects in over 200M
When COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, Fresh Dairy is one of the companies that took a back foot in financially supporting sports in the country.
From the days of Broke side, Fresh Dairy has been injecting cash into the schools games, both ball games one and two, but the previous two years, they had withdrawn their cash from the games.
However, the side remained in relationship with the schools sports governing body USSSA and on Thursday, while at Cooper Chimney Restaurant Lugogo, Fresh Dairy presented a cheque of 240 millions shillings to support the 2023 Ball games one competitions that are commencing on 7th May 2023 at Ntare School Mbarara City in Western Uganda.
The package delivered by Fresh Diary Marketing Manager Vincent Omoth to continue the five-year deal which started in 2019 as games administrative costs at both regional and national level.
After ganding over the package at Cooper Chimney Lugogo on Thursday 04-05-2023, Vincent Omoth, the Fresh Dairy Marketing Manager said
“Over the past three editions, Fresh Dairy is pleased to see a progression through better quality of sports being played, but also an increase in the number of students and schools participating.”
Omoth added, “Fresh Dairy’s sponsorship essentially serves to nurture the sporting talent of our youth while highlighting the need for health and nutrition using our products which are great for refreshment and post-workout replenishment. Fresh Dairy believes in developing a complete individual in terms of sports, academia and health.”
The fresh diary games have attracted more 423,000 students in seven disciplines according to USSSA Chief executive officer, Chris .
Representing 252 teams competing in basketball, rugby 15s, hockey, table tennis, badminton, tennis and girls football will converge at Ntare starting on May 7 until 15th.
The game are the qualifiers for East African Secondary School Games set for August in Rwanda.
The draws were also held on Thursday at the same venue.
