USSSA Ball Games II: Mukono Kings Humbles St Francis Busunju in Futsal ‘Palace’

The USSSA Ball Games II championship enters day two of action at St. Peters College School and Tororo Girls School in Tororo District.
The Greater Mukono region champions extended their supremacy to National level following a convincing 4-1 victory over St. Francis Busunju.
Busunju coming with experience collected from futsal super league, they took the advantage through Talemwa Collins but Afeku Patrick levelled the matters before the break.
In the second stanza, Kings proved that they’re in charge of the kingdom and they netted three goals. Kato Antonio separated the tie few minutes into the last half before Mukisa Daniel and Geno Mathius added on the strikes.
Since it’s the first time futsal to be played in Schools championship, Mukono Kings tactician, Shafiq Mudholo asserted that the game is challenging due to the skills it requires.
“The game is a bit skillful and speedy, it requires you to make a decision in a second.” He stated. ” So it is a bit challenging compared to football.” Mudholo confessed.
Mudholo also thanked the Association for introducing futsal among the many disciplines in the tournament.
“First of all I thank the organizing committee of USSSA for organizing such a big event always and introducing futsal in this championship.”
” It’s our first time to play futsal and we are happy for that and I thank Mukono King’s High School administrators for giving us the opportunity to come and be part of the USSSA programs, I thank the players for making me proud and implementing instructions given to them the same to my technical team and the fans of Mukono King’s.”
“Our target for the first futsal USSSA edition is to make sure we make to the top 2”
In other results, Kakungulu Memorial beat St Marks College Namagoma 2-0, thanks t a brace from Nsereko Frank.
Seroma Christian High School and Kyadondo SS shared spoils in a six goals thriller.
