USSSA Ball Games II 2026: Historic Debut for St Jerome, Tough Tests Await Namagabi, Kaduggala and Kyantamba as Netball Knockouts Begin

The group stage of the USSSA Ball Games II netball competition came to a close on Sunday at Gulu High School, setting up a mouthwatering Round of 32 that promises intense battles as schools chase a place in the last 16.
Among the standout stories is St Jerome Secondary School Ndama from Kigezi, who have reached the Round of 32 for the first time in the school’s history. Their reward is a tricky tie against Ngando Secondary School as they seek to extend their fairytale run.
Another fixture attracting huge attention will see Namagabi Secondary School take on Light High School Sseguku in what is expected to be one of the most evenly matched contests of the round. With both teams boasting similar quality, the outcome could be decided by which side commits fewer errors under pressure.
Fans will also be eager to watch Kaduggala Secondary School face Greenlight Islamic School, a clash between two sides widely tipped as capable of reaching the quarter-finals. The encounter is expected to produce some of the best netball of the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, Kyantamba Secondary School faces a daunting task against perennial contenders St Noa Girls Secondary School, with the winners advancing to the Round of 16.
Defending champions Buddo Secondary School begin the defence of their title against Munta Royal College, while another highly anticipated fixture pits Kibuli Secondary School against Kajjansi Progressive, with both schools expected to produce a fiercely contested encounter.
With the group phase now complete, attention shifts to the knockout rounds where every match is a do-or-die affair as schools battle to keep their championship dreams alive in Gulu.
