USSSA Ball Games II 2024: St Noa, Kitende, Kawanda Ease Past R16 as Buddo Struggles to Eliminate Gombe

The USSSA Ball Games II championship has reached the knockout out stage with Netball category climaxed with round of sixteen games.
The big four according to last rankings in this game (Netball), have all qualified to the quarter final level after cruising past their opponents.
The defending champions, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School found no serious hurdle from their round of sixteen opponents, Kadugala SS and they have won the game 28-17 and propelled to quarter finals.
The same Kawanda SS did, it was like eating a piece of cake for the Bombo road side, the best upcoming side, Namagabi SS 32-17.
Buddo is the side among the big four that found some challenge to eliminate Gombe SS, it was a tight game and the first stanza ended while Assiimwe Jesse girls with only one goal advantage (11-10). But the tactics changed in the last half and Buddo to it with a difference of four goals, following a 23-19 fulltime score.
St Noa beat Nile Citizen from Kaliisizo 27-18 and cruised to the quarter final.
In a nutshell, Wakiso Region has qualified five teams to quarter final, Kawanda SS, St Noa Girls Zzana, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende, Greenlight Islamic and Buddo SS.
Greater Mukono region took only one representative, that is St Mathias Kalemba who beat St Francis Busunju 21-19. Kampala region took Baptist High School, the tormentors of Hamdan Islamic from Greater Mukono. And Masaka has one in St Joseph’s Bhakita.
At the quarter final stage, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School will play against Greenlight Islamic as St Noa Girls taking on Baptist High School.
St Kalemba the only Greater Mukono representative still standing will lock horns with Kawanda SS before Buddo SS and St Joseph’s Bhakita meet.
