USSSA Ball Games 2026: Groups Confirmed for Girls’ Basketball Championship

The draws for the 2026 USSSA Ball Games I girls’ basketball championship have been conducted today at the USSSA headquarters at GNS Plaza in Kampala, setting the stage for a highly competitive tournament.

A total of 48 teams have been distributed into eight groups of six, with defending champions St Noa Girls Secondary School Zana returning to defend their crown against a strong field of contenders. The top eight teams were seeded during the draw to ensure balanced competition across the groups.

Seroma Christian High School Mukono will host this year’s championship, which is scheduled to tip off on 29th April 2026. The stakes are high, as the top four teams at the end of the tournament will earn the honor of representing Uganda at the FEASSA Games set to take place in Tanzania in August 2026.

The draws have produced several intriguing matchups, with traditional powerhouses and emerging schools set to battle for supremacy in what promises to be an exciting championship.

With the groups now confirmed, attention shifts to the host venue in Mukono, where teams will be aiming to impress, chase glory, and secure a coveted place on the regional stage.
