Following a one day display of talents in Kayunga district, six (6) teams were crowned champions of Uganda Primary Schools Sports Associations qualifiers in Kayunga on Tuesday 12th, August 2025 at Hopeful Future Secondary School Ntooke.
National defending champions, Kanjuki Junior School, representing Ntenjeru North, took bragging rights in the U12 Boys football, Ntenjeru South took home the U14 Boys football while Bbaale South defied odds to take home Gurls U14 football.
To win the U12 Boys football, Ntenjeru North registered maximum (9) points from three (3) games played defeating Ntenjeru South 4-0, Bbaale South by 3-1 and Bbaale North 3-0.
Bbaale South finished in the second position with four (4) points before Ntenjeru South in the 3rd position with four (4) points and Bbaale North with no point registered.
In football Boys U14, Ntenjeru South garnered six (6) points from three matches, Bbaale North with Five (5) points before Ntenjeru North came 3rd with three (3) points and Bbaale South with two points.
In the girls’ category, Bbaale South defeated Bbaale North by 5-3 following a barren draw to lift the trophy in the all Bbaale affair.
Earlier on, Bbaale South ejected Ntenjeru North in penalty shoots well as Bbaale North ejected Ntenjeru South by 1-0.
In netball, the competition was between Ntenjeru South and North with South winning Girls U12 and U14 well as Ntenjeru North won U14 Netball Boys.
Teams are expected to enter the residential camp on Saturday 16th, August at Kanjuki Junior School
Hopeful Future Secondary School, Ntooke hosted the district finals and also sponsored the district with Trophies, Medals and balls to top scorers of football U14 (Boys and Girls), football U12 only boys and Netball Girls.
