UMEA Games 2025 | Netball: Namagabi SS, Kawanda Off to Round of Sixteen

 The hosts Namagabi SS writes a statement in the ongoing 37th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games. 

The side that is under the stewardship of Sharif Lulenzi is raising in ranks every after a year and it has secured a slot on the round of 16 in the games, it has qualified to the knockout stage for the first time after a while of poor performance in the games. 

The hosts who were pitted in group C, managed to win three matches, drawing once and losing once which gives them a sweet position to qualify to the round of 16. 

Namagabi put up a strong message when they secured a point against the tournament big girls, Kibuli SS, the highly contested encounter ended 19 up. 

Defending champions, Kawanda SS is another side that is doing great in the championship, after winning all their four matches in group A, have qualified to round of sixteen as table leaders. 

Green Light Islamic, Kaddugala SS, Kibuli SS Hamdan are among the sides that have already secured slots at the round of sixteen.
