Uganda Decides 2021: Opposition On Verge Of Boycotting Elections

Uganda opposition on verge of boycotting 2021 elections due to un levelled ground in the on going campaigns.

The Independent presidential candidate Gen. Henry Tumukunde who on several occasions have been blocked by Uganda Police from accessing his supporters in western Uganda, discovered to media that as opposition are in talks to boycott elections of 2021.

“We ate having consultations with our opposition members to boycott this elections and the conversations are going on.

Just imagine on one stop point even you can’t reach it. Thank you police men who will remain in one regime for ever.” Tumukunde revealing to Media this afternoon.

Tumukunde was denied by Police to enter Bundibugyo and he cancelled his trip to that side for today.

“We were supposed to go to Bundibugyo, I talked to electoral commission this morning and allowed me to campaign from there.

But now you can see the blockage behind us, you also see the threats of arms and weapons pointed at us, so our supporters who have been working for us in Bundibugyp, tell people that we are unable to reach them.” Tumukunde speaking.

Again this morning, National Unity Platform flag bearer, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert was arrested and detained at Nalufenya police station in Jinja, by the time he was arrested by Police on orders of one, ASP Frank Mwesigwa he was in Luuka district.

His arrest sparked off, protests in different parts of Uganda, Kampala not excluded.
