Uganda Decides 2021: Go For Straight Politicians, Kampala Central Aspiring Mayor, Semugooma Urges Ugandans To Be Vigilant

The Kampala Central Division aspiring Mayor in the forthcoming general elections, Semugooma Hamudan Kigozi urged Ugandans especially those from Kampala to be vigilant while voting their leaders of next five years.

While addressing the residents of Mengo Parish, Kampala Central at Social Centre, at the event of launching Party campaigns in Kampala, the National Unity Platform flag bearer asked Ugandans to go for leaders who are straight not the tricksters or double dealers.

“As voters, you need to be vigilant with your vote, go for politicians who are straight not those you don’t know where they fall.

I prefer a person who publicly come out and say that he is of NRM than those who pretend that they don’t have side.“

Semugooma who is also the NUP chief Mobiliser Kampala Central, asked Ugandans to have confidence in them that change is possible and they can take over the leadership of this country.

Kigozi asserted that President Museveni leading Uganda for over 30 years killed the self believe of Ugandans, and some of them think that he is immortal.

“The only challenge we have is believing that Museveni can go, some of you think that the dictator is immortal but the good thing our president showed us that it’s possible, he is playing his part and now it’s us to fulfill ours.”

Kigozi also promised a lot for Kampala Central residents, including reaching to common man on ground, modulating the hyped taxes on small businesses, looking at the welfare of Kampalanians, and to upgrade Kampala to a world Cities status.

And he said for Kampala to reach at that level and fulfilling such a rich Manifesto, Ugandans should only vote for NUP at all levels from President to village councillors.

At the same event, the Kampala Central aspiring Member of Parliament, Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu launched National Unity Platform Kampala campaigns and he also opened up the party office at Mengo.

“I want to officially declare that National unity platform Kampala campaigns for 2021 Elections are opened.” Fred Nyanzi.

Also in attendance, was Kampala district Woman Member of Parliament and Lord Mayor aspirant, Nabiira Naggayi Sempala, aspiring Councillors of Kampala Central.
