U-20 2022WWCQ: Uganda Gets a New Opponent, CAF Confirms
The earlier communication made by CECAFA website indicated that Uganda was to play against Botswana in the third round of the 2022 Costa Rica U20 Women’s World Cup but today Confederation of African Football (CAF) came up with the corrected draws.
In the corrected draws CAF released today indicates that Uganda who eliminated Kenya at round of Qualifiers by 10-3 on aggregate, will be the first to host South Africa in December before the return leg.
The first leg of the third round will take place between 2-4 December, while the return leg will take place from 16-18 December across the continent.
“The second round was concluded last weekend and saw 16 teams advance to the third round
Previously, the system erroneously published a few incorrect fixtures. This has since been rectified.” CAF wrote.
