The Elites Who Think Politics Doesn’t Concern Them Are Wrong – Hon. Kateregga

Hon. Uthman Kateregga Mwanadamu, the former NRM contestant for Mawogola West member of parliament, has urged elites who think politics doesn’t concern them to change the mind that by doing so, they are killing their societies.

Hon. Uthman Kateregga Mwanadamu was addressing Makerere University Gomba Kabula Ssembabule students’ association (MUGKSSA) on Saturday, 25th October, in their symposium held at Food and Nutrition, CEDAT Makerere University where he was invited as the chief guest.

“The elites who think politics does not matter them are wrong. You are killing the societies, communities, and the nation by allowing the incompetent to take the lead in key decision-making of the Country”.

“From laws to policies, politics is in everything, even in the markets where we buy vegetables. It’s not about money only. When then do you send the worst to represent you? Who do you champion the cause”.

Hon. Kateregga furthermore reminded the students that the quality of this country entirely depends on you. You wither make it or break it and have no one to blame.

The symposium was organized on a theme “Elitism and political representation: the intersection between legal and social duties of political representatives”

Hon. Kateregga has established himself as an open minded person evidenced when he openly stated that he will support the National Resistance Movement flag bearer after falling short in the party primaries this year.
