Tennis: Ssenyomo, Namukasa and Others Shine as Tennis For All National Junior Open Climaxes

Kids of under eight to twelves years of age exhibited as exciting performances  in the third edition of Tennis for All Junior Open Championship held at East Kololo Primary School.

The third edition which took part over the weekend from Saturday 27, to Sunday 28 February 2021 has attracted at least 52 players of age  between 8 and 12 and of both genders coming from Tennis for All Uganda, Let’s play tennis Uganda, Sporting Chance, Lugogo tennis club and Kabira country club.

The under 12 event for boys, Jonathan Philber Ssenyomo managed to beat Joakim Agenoga on final by two sets to one  (10/12, 12/6, 12/6) in the best of 3 set match.

Dhaanvi Dechamma won the girls event beating Nabukera Latifah 12/9, 12/5 also in a the best of 3 set match

Owana Francis won the Boys event of under 10 after beating Okello Samuel 12/9, 4/12, 12/7 while Namukasa Nicole won the girls event 12/5, 12/2 against Kisakya Ruth

Under 8 event, Faraji Ali won the boys event 12/6, 12/11 against Oruma Braight while Keila Wanguich won the girls event 12/11, 12/5 against Afoyorwot Rihana.
