Stanbic Uganda Cup: Villa to Visit Hospital in Pallisa as Whatsapp Group Team hosts Struggling Midigo Side

The draws for the 52nd edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup were officially conducted on Wednesday morning at the Protea Hotel in Kampala, setting the stage for another exciting chapter in Uganda’s oldest knockout football competition.
The ceremony was conducted by former Express FC and KCCA FC midfielder Sheikh Umar Ssenoga, and was graced by FUFA 3rd Vice President Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and FUFA Director of Competitions Hajjat Aisha Nalule.
Nine-time Uganda Cup winners SC Villa have been drawn against Pallisa Hospital FC, while the defending champions Vipers SC will travel upcountry to face Northern Gateway FC in what promises to be a tricky away fixture.
One of the standout ties of the round will see Football Classroom FC, the only non-league side remaining among the 64 teams at this stage, take on struggling Uganda Premier League side Calvary FC, offering the underdogs a chance to script a famous upset.
The championship will be played between 4th and 10th February 2026, with all matches decided in a single-leg knockout format. Winners of each tie will advance to the Round of 32, where teams will start receiving prize money.
According to the organisers, the eventual winner of the competition will walk away with UGX 50 million, courtesy of title sponsors Stanbic Bank Uganda.
