SC Villa’s Mpande Graces Omega Soccer Academy’s 7th Anniversary Celebrations, Calls for Discipline Among Kids

Uganda Cranes and SC Villa star Reagan Mpande delivered words of inspiration and hope to dozens of young footballers as Omega Soccer Academy celebrated its 7th anniversary on January 24, 2026, in a colorful event that blended football, family, and community values.
Mpande, who attended as Guest of Honor, stole the spotlight with an uplifting message centered on discipline, hard work, respect, and the importance of balancing education with sport. His interaction with the young players—signing autographs, posing for photos, and offering personal encouragement—created unforgettable moments and reinforced the academy’s mission of shaping well-rounded athletes.

The anniversary celebration brought together parents, players, coaches, supporters, and invited guests for a full day of activities marked by joy, music, and football. Friendly matches took center stage, featuring junior teams from Omega Soccer Academy, Edgars Youth Programme, and Diamond Soccer Academy Uganda.

In keeping with tradition, Omega Soccer Academy used the occasion to recognize parents and supporters whose moral and financial backing has sustained the academy over the years. Several key contributors were awarded certificates, presented by the academy’s patrons, Mr. Bob Mawande and Mrs. Bob Mawande, in appreciation of their unwavering commitment.
