Reports: KQ’s Bid For Shamirah Nalugya Raises To 20M But Isra Remains Unmoved

Kampala: The FUFA Women Super League side, Kampala Queens are still very serious on signing U-20 Women National team and Isra Soccer Academy midfield maestro, Shamirah Nalugya.
In our first report, Kampala Queens placed a five million shillings bid to have a signature of the skillful attacking midfielder but his mother Club rejected the bid pretending to need 12M.
According to inside sources at FUFA House Mengo, Last week on Friday, Isra Soccer Academy Director and FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo who doubles as the Co-Owner of Kampala Queens had a meeting about the player’s transfer but the two parties failed to reach on the leveled ground.
Reports indicate that, desperate Magogo accepted to pay 12M for the transfer but Isra Director, Yasin Mubiru said that he needs time to think about it and to discuss with the other concerned parties.
Though Shamirah is still under recovery, Magogo wanted to have the player before the 2020/21 season which commences next month.
However, the biggest puzzle between the two parties (Isra and Kampala Queens) is the Kawempe Muslim Ladies effect. Before the transfer talks started, the Player had renewed her contract with the Warriors.
Kawempe is not ready to let the player go at any cost.
“Isra would have accepted that amount but the player has a renewed loan contract with Kawempe and Isra doesn’t want to bury the strong relationship they have with Kawempe, on that note Isra boss rejected the 12M Magogo was giving him in cash.” An insider told this website.
Another source told this website that Magogo raised the amount to 20M and from there, he asked Isra Director to let player go to his (Magogo) office (that was on Sunday) to discuss about the deal but like the Mubiru said, Shamirah also said that she still has a running contract with Kawempe and on top of that she still has unfinished business at the Valley unless Magogo waits until the end of this season and then they renegotiate about the deal.
In the same meeting, Magogo vowed to follow up the saga about Fauzia Najjemba’s transfer. It should be recalled that the exciting forward moved to Kampala Queens last season in an improper way and Isra did not receive any coin.
But according to sources, Magogo said that he released the money for that transfer, so he is going to make a follow up to see that Isra is compensated.
The women Super League kicks off on 19th April 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru, Kawempe and Kampala Queens are in the same group.
