Reports: Egyptian Giants In Search For Hippos Wonder Kid’s Signature

Kampala: The Egyptian Premier League giants, Al Ahly picked interest in Uganda Hippos wonder kid, Derrick Kakooza but his local mother club, Police FC still hesitant to let him go to North Africa.

Kakooza displayed a marvelous performance in just concluded U-20 AFCON held in Mauritania where Uganda secured a silver medal after falling 2-0 against the Champions Ghana on final.

The 20 Year old forward left the tourney as a top scorer (5 goals) and grabbed attention of many Continental and International clubs.

The reports reaching at our desk indicates that African Giants, Al Ahly wants to sign Kakooza on a four-year employment contract and pay Police FC a transfer fee to a tune of €50000 (Ugx 218,200,000).

However, the Cops are still silent to the deal because other International Clubs, the likes of Real Valadolid from Spain and Canadian Club also have interest in the boy.

The two sides revealed their interests in the boy early this week.
