Uganda Premier League nears climax and the second last monthly awarding ceremony has been held at Kati Kati Restaurant Lugogo on Monday when two individuals from two clubs left the venue with accolades and prize money.
For the Month of March and April, Sports Club Villa’a tactician, Dusan Stojanovic and Maroons FC forward striker Fred Amaku were named the best coach and player respectively.
SC Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic was named best coach of the month of March and April. And in that line, Dusan and SC Villa won two of the four games, drawing the other two.
Dusan best off the competition from NEC’s Hussien Mbalangu who managed 3 wins and 2 losses from five games.
Maroons’ Muhammad Ssenfuma managed two wins, one draw and lost twice of the five games
In the player’s side, Amaku beat of stiff competition from KCCA FC’s Shaban Muhammad and Vipers’ Allan Okello to the award of best player.
From the five games played, Amaku scored three goals, made one assist and clinched one player of the match award.
However, despite scoring three goals and one assist in four games. Shaban Muhammad was edged by Amaku on the player of the match.
Vipers Allan Okello only managed two goals and one assist in the five games he played.
Each winner awarded away with accolade and prize money of one million shillings each courtesy of Pilsner Lager.
