Philanthropy: Back to Roots, Juliet Nalukenge Donates Balls To Kawempe Muslim Ahead of FEASSSA Games

The Apollon Ladies FC forward, Juliet Nalukenge donated balls to Kawempe Muslim Secondary School as they are getting ready for Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association [FEASSSA] games slated for this month in Arusha Tanzania.

On Sunday, the Crested Cranes forward, Nalukenge, paid a courtesy visit to her former school and donated five balls (select) as a morale boost to her fellow players who are going to represent the school in September.

“I decided to visit my former school before heading back to pro, I donated five balls to them as they are going to feature in FEASSSA games and they will also help them in Super league.” Said Juliet Nalukenge.

” It’s good to get back where you hailed from, I have been at Kawempe for six years, they groomed me and made me, special appreciation to coach Ayub [Khalifa] because he made the Juliet you see now.” She added.

The last time Juliet featured in FEASSSA games in 2019, Kawempe Muslim won the girls football tournament when they beat Mukono High School 1-0 on final courtesy of Shakirah Nyinagahirwa.

Ayub Khalifa, Head coach Kawempe Muslim was in place and Muslim players to receive the balls.

“It’s a good gesture, it’s good to get back from where you grew up from, and what Nalukenge did is a challenge to others, not only those from my school or club but also from other clubs, some tend to forget their roots.” Ayub Khalifa said before adding “It’s also a motivation to the younger ones we have, they also need to work hard to reach where Nalukenge is and even higher, because she has been playing with them and now she is at another level.”

Though they lost to St Noa on final of Fresh Diary Nationals held in Gulu, Kawempe who are setting off to Arusha, Tanzania, remains as favorites to defend their title.
