Gulu University put up a superb performance today Friday in the Pepsi University Football League as they honorably [Mubitiibwa] humbled two time league champions, Kampala University by 3-0 in Gulu.

Onekalit Geoffrey gave the hosts an early lead only four minutes into first stanza before Vukoni Jerry doubled it in the 61th minute of second half.

Ssekyewa Gonzaga then added to the score sheet four minutes to final whistle, he scored from the spot to comfortably give Gulu University a perfect start of the 2022 University Football League season.

This game became the first this season to see three goals in the single game though, so far in the three played matches, none of the visiting sides scored yet, UCU beat newbies Victoria University 2-0 the same score line International University of East Africa suffered yesterday against Kumi University.

Action in the Pepsi University Football League continues tomorrow Saturday with the returnee, Ndejje University hosting the 2017 Champions, Uganda Martyrs University at their Luweero Campus.
