Netball: Vicent Kiwanuka Named Men’s Netball Team Interim Coach, Provisional Squad Summoned
The Former, She Cranes Head Coach and the current National Insurance Corporation Netball Club tactician, Vicent Kiwanuka Kawooya named the interim coach of Uganda Men’s Netball Team that is getting ready for 2021 International Males Netball Challenge Cup to be held in South Africa next month.
According to Vice President Technical, Richard Muhumuza, the Federation decided to go with Kawooya as the caretaker coach of the Male team as they are getting ready to announce permanent coaches for national teams, men’s team inclusive.
In the same vain, the Technical Committee under Richard Muhumuza announced the 26 man squad that enter residential training camp tomorrow at Kampala University.
This is the first time since 2008 Uganda is assembling a male Netball national team to feature in any international or continental tournament.
The team is preparing for 2021 International Males Netball Challenge Cup to be held in South Africa between 14th to 18th September 2021.
So far six teams confirmed their participation, Uganda inclusive.
The tournament will help in Preparation for Inaugural Africa National Male Netball Cup slated to be hosted by Morocco in March 2022.
